Snap a Picture with The Canon EOS 40D SLR

Canon EOS 40D 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera with EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens

Are you that person at parties? You know who you are: you’re the one with the camera that drives everyone crazy by perpetually snapping and flashing your way into the fun. Are you sick of the quality of your point-and-shoot digital camera? Do you want a way to condense files without having to kill resolution? Do you want professional quality without professional hassles? If you answered yes to one or all of these questions, then the new Canon EOS 40D SLR is the camera you’ve been waiting for.

To be honest, this camera is nothing short of amazing. While most digital cameras boast about a whopping 6.0 megapixels (this refers to resolution for those non-techie folks out there), the Canon EOS 40D SLR has 10.1 megapixels. Seriously! 10.1! That’s a 40% increase in megapixels from your typical point-and-shoot digital camera which means that your pictures will come out 40% better. I don’t know about you, but that seems like a significant increase to me!

Also, with this model, Canon finally took into consideration that most of us don’t keep our cameras in padded boxes that are hermetically sealed to keep out dust. And, let’s face it, most of us drop our cameras once and a while—we’re only human! To combat these issues, Canon included a self-cleaning feature on the EOS 40D SLR that removes dust and grime build-up. Also, it made the display much sturdier. No more damaged displays when you fumble your camera. No Sir! This display is meant to last.

Another fabulous feature you will find on this camera is the huge—and of course, I mean huge in camera standards—display on the body. Instead of the measly one and a half to two inch displays that you are supposed to decide whether or not the picture you took is passable that most cameras have, the EOS 40D SLR has a three inch square display in the body. While this might not seem like a huge increase, the clarity is amazing and it is much easier to see the flaws in your pictures before you upload them onto your computer or print them out.

This camera also has the capability to reduce the storage size of your pictures while still protecting the quality. Most Canon cameras store images using RAW files which are sometimes overly large for uploads and storage. The EOS 40D SLR has the capability to reduce the memory used by converting image files to sRAW which take up around half the space as regular RAW files.

This camera is awesome and its price is affordable as well. Stop taking crappy pictures and upgrade to the Canon EOS 40D SLR. You’ll feel like a professional without spending professional money!
